Scooter Central supported Jamie Oliver's charity - the Fifteen Foundation

The Fifteen Foundation (now renamed the Jamie Oliver Foundation) is a registered charity founded in 2002 to take forward Jamie Oliver’s vision of offering young people a unique opportunity to change their lives by becoming chefs.

 Jamie purchased a Tamoretti 50 Retro from us and soon after we got a call from Jamie’s PR people asking if we would like to donate a Tamoretti scooter to his charity. 

Every year Jamie hosts “A big night out with Fifteen” where the great and the good assemble to support the Foundation and raise money for the charity. It took place at the Bloomsbury Ballroom in London on the 4th November 2008. The night was a tremendous success with Jamie and his friends, Katie Brand, Jamie Cullum and Sophie Dahl, to name but a few and raised over a quarter of a million pounds for the Foundation.

The evening’s guests were offered the chance to buy a key to unlock the scooter.  During the evening guests went on stage to try their key to see if they were the winner. This part of the event raised £2,800 for the Foundation.
